SOLVED – caller id & call block function cannot uninstall / Cannot delete Caller ID app vivavideo

Hello everyone,

I have trouble to get rid of this annoying app and i was despaired.
Whenever I get a call I get an additional blue pop up with the number details and after the call ends a blue screen popsup. It reads “Free caller ID“, I read lots of articles but nothing was right.

Steps are:

Steps to remove free caller ID Android spam

1. Install the android app ‘Addons Detector’ from Google Play Store by visiting this link.
2. Once installed, open the app and hit ‘Scan’ button.
3. Once Scan is done, go to permission explorer.
4. Once the results are shown, sort by name and search for ‘android.permission.MODIFY_PHONE_STATE’ and ‘android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW’.
   
   
   
   
5.  Now, you have filtered down the results to a few apps – the apps listed under the aforementioned android permissions.
6. Now, from this list of apps, you will have to filter out the app which is not reliable.
7. Yes, you have to apply a trial and error message at this stage. In our case, the culprit app was vivavideo. Once the vivavideo was uninstalled, the annoying free caller id was also gone.

In my case vault app have in advertising details

I go to settings and prohibit access permissions for Vault app and that solves my problem

Another way that you can see which application is potentially guilty, is to go on the google play store on your mobile, and sort installed application by last used, and after you identified it go and do Steps to remove free caller ID Android spam
